Before you start

  • Adopt the AP into the intended GWN network and confirm it is Online.
  • Create a Splash Page with voucher login and assign its captive-portal policy to the customer SSID.
  • Create a GWN API developer application with access to the required network.

Procedure

Follow these steps in order

1

Prepare GWN management

In GWN.Cloud or GWN Manager, create the network, adopt the AP, configure the SSID, and verify clients can associate before enabling a portal.

2

Create the voucher portal

Create a Splash Page using voucher authentication, create the captive-portal policy, and assign it to the exact SSID used by customers.

3

Create API credentials

Create a developer application. In K7abeer, use the App ID as the connection username and the Secret Key as the connection password.

4

Identify network and AP

Enter the numeric GWN network ID in the project field and the managed AP MAC address in the device field.

5

Run Check connection

K7abeer verifies API authentication, network access, AP identity, and controller reachability before accepting voucher writes.

6

Install a test batch

Grandstream controller vouchers use 10 numeric digits by default. Generate a small batch, send it to the controller, and wait for the confirmed result.

7

Test login and expiry

Connect a fresh client, confirm the Splash Page opens, authenticate with the test voucher, and check that first-login or connected-time expiry matches the package.

Verify success

  • The AP is Online in the intended GWN network.
  • The correct SSID has the voucher portal policy.
  • K7abeer reports successful controller installation, not only local generation.
  • The 10-digit voucher works and expires according to policy.

Troubleshooting

Connection or backup verification is rejected

Confirm API mode, base URL, App ID, Secret Key, numeric network ID, AP MAC, and controller reachability. Do not use the normal web-login password in place of developer credentials.

Voucher expires the same day

Review the package expiry mode, timezone, controller duration units, and first-login timestamp. Generate a new test voucher after correcting the package mapping.

K7abeer says push failed but vouchers appear

Refresh the batch and controller state before retrying. A delayed or partial API response can require reconciliation; do not generate a duplicate batch immediately.
